目前全球发行量最高的游戏杂志《Game Informer》，在第200期上推出了“全时代最伟大的200款游戏”的排行榜，其中《命令与征服1》和《红色警报1》入围，分别排名78位和115位。RTS类游戏的最高排名是35位的《星际争霸》。有趣的是，前100名中，只有一款2009年发售的游戏，就是排名56位的《未知海域2：纵横贼道》（顽皮狗有不少作品上榜）。
从这个榜单看，任天堂毫无疑问笑傲群雄，马里奥风采不减当年，塞尔达几乎整个产品线都上榜了，从主机角度看，电脑和PS系占据了半壁江山。不过，就像很多类似的排行榜，总是存在着不少的争议和问题，因此大家随便看看就好：
